Out of immense respect for the promise given to the local ruler of the land the Zoroastrians of India landed upon in refuge, the Zoroastrians of India, known as the Parsi (Parsis) do not proselytize. Those with Parsi ancestry, however, can seek admission into the community of the Faithful.
